Oct 19 - Fun Bella Pictures

Bella loves to lock the door. It is almost an obessive compulsive action as every time she sees the front door she has to lock it. Bryan was improvising as she is not quite tall enough to reach herself.

Look at her push that button.

Bryan and Daddy walking in Hong Kong Park.

We love walking the steps and Bella will only have one foot on each step.

Bella and her backpack. Doesn't she look so cute!

Oct 14 - Wakeboarding at Tai Tam

Bryan and his school mates before diving into the very salty water to try their hand at wakeboarding.

Matt, Gary, Kevin & Bryan

Here is Jennie actually above water. Wakeboarding is more like snowboarding than waterskiing. I had a bit of trouble adjusting but fun all around.

Both successful at getting up and trying our new found skills. Really we didn't want to fall as neither one of us cared for a mouth full of salt.

Here is Bryan listening to suggestions as what to do better next time. He was a pro up and moving in and out of the wake.

Oct 6th - South Bay Beach, HK

The back side of Hong Kong Island is spotted with a variety of beaches. One of the few secluded beaches - South Bay - is where we ventured with a school mate of Bryan's and his family.

This is a view from the beach. It is a bit hazy and yes, that is pollution.

Here is our family braving the waters. The beach at this particular spot was clean and refreshing to get into even in the beginning of October.

Bella enjoying a little bouncing up and down with the waves as Daddy helps her stay afloat.

Kevin, Wendy, Kayla & Keiron - enjoying some swimming.

We capped the day off with a BBQ and a bit of Twister. When was the last time you played Twister? Daddy had a good run but came out clutching his back after left leg was behind right leg and both arms were somehow pretzeled in between both legs and around Keiron. We are going to have to get him in shape for when Bella is big enough to want to play Twister. Luckily we have a little bit of time.

Oct 5th - Macau

Macau is in the news these days because of the latest and greatest Venetian hotel that just opened on the Tai-Co. The Venetian is taunted as the second largest structure in the world, behind the pentagon. On Friday Mommy went with a friend to check out the changes and new casino. Some brief history is that Macau, like Hong Kong, was just returned to the Chinese after its 100 year lease to the Portuguese. All the signs in town are in Portuguese and the residents speak Portuguese as well as a bit of Mandarin.

Here is a classic residential building in central Macau. There is a casino by Stanley Ho (the chinese big wig who had a monopoly on the casinos until the handover) being built within walking distance to the city center. Where the other casinos are in Tai-Co.

Lovely pictures. It smells about as good as it looks.

City square, notice the Portuguese influence in the architecture.

St. Paul's - built in 1602 made of taipa and wood. In 1835 used as army barracks, a fire from the kitchen destroyed all but what you see here. The intricately carved stone facade and behind the grand staircase are all that remain.

St. Dominic's built in 1590 a site with a violent past. A military officer was murdered at the altar, it was the site of a friar sit in and protest against the soldiers, and again used for barracks.
Beautiful cream and yellow on the inside with wood detail and carved ivory statues. This church is one of many that details the history of the Roman Catholic church in Asia.

Sept 27 - Heading back to HK

Zonked out! What a great trip. Thanks to all our family and friends that hosted us over the past month. We had a delightful and memorable visit.

Sept 26 - Classic Bella pictures

Look at that curly hair.
Assuming the sleep position.

Decked out in denim.

Sept 25 - Vacaville with Uncle Chris & Zari

Uncle Chris and Bella before our Mexican dinner. Who do you think has the better smile?

Uncle Chris and Zari

Such a ham. Look at those baby blue eyes. They are directly from Daddy and then from Great Grammy Camaglia.

Uncle Chris, Mommy, Bella and Zari enjoying the great evening weather in Northern CA.

Sept 23 - San Francisco, CA

Bella enjoyed her first trip to San Francisco. Daddy and Mommy showed her all their old haunting grounds. At least the ones she is old enough to get in to.

It is cooler today but in the way back is Alcatraz.

Walking in North Beach where Mommy and Daddy used to live.

There's Coit Tower behind us.

Swinging in the park in North Beach. Mommy never knew there was a playground here.

Our favorite picture....Bella at the Golden Gate Bridge on a beautiful day.

Sept 20 - In LA with Godparents

We are on our next to last leg of our tour across all time zones in the states. We are with good family friends, the Drachslin's in Riverside, California.

Here is Bella with Uncle Bob, her godfather. We are hanging out as the rain caught up with us in Riverside. So we had to wait for playing outside.

Bella and Alyssa being playful. Bella is staring out the window at Wien, their Dachshund. Bella has only been around dogs as big as her or larger on this trip. Wien was fun to watch.

Auntie Arlene, Bella's godmother, and Bryan at Lanae's volleyball game. Lanae, their oldest, just started high school. We caught her in action on the court. Beware - she has a powerful serve. One you wouldn't expect from her.

There's Buddy, he is the youngest. We had fun playing together too!

Mommy & Bella smashing in purple outfits.

Grandma Jeri and Bella walking around on grass. I was able to play and walk in a lot of grass over this trip. There are small patches in Hong Kong so nice green grass is a real treat.
