Check out the following video. Bryan has been working with Bella for many months and she is now building one block, only red, on top of another. The great part is that he always clapped and cheered for her afterwards. Hence the call for cheering and clapping after she has placed the block.

It's cold out there

Here is Bella all layered up to go outside. She has a quilted jacket, her vest, gloves/mittens and of course a hat. Her face displays how happy she was as each layer was applied. Then off to the park!

Reading

Here is Annabella refusing to come down from her changing table as she had not finished reading her book about going on an airplane.

Not yet mom! She loves to look at the pictures but mostly at the words. She follows them across each page.

Gap Poster Child

Grammy's favorite store is Baby Gap. Here is Bella all decked out in her Gap sweatsuit.

Bangkok sight seeing

Daddy's favorite position of the buddha - reclining. No wonder, we found out on this trip that there is a particular gesture of the buddha for each day of the week. The thai people know which day of the week they were born and apply the gesture to their lifestyles. The day Bryan was born the buddha is in a reclining position. Hmm, who knew.

The second largest reclining buddha in the world. The first is two hours outside of Bangkok. The buddha is stucco on the inside and gold leaf on the outside.

The Grand Royal Palace, we were able to see all the temples but not the palace as the King's sister had just passed and her ashes were awaiting their 100 days before being released.

The thai temples are a mix of thai, cambodian and appear to have some chinese influence.

Pure golden buddha supposedly weighing 5.5tons. The Buddha was originally covered all in cement as the king didn't want anyone to know about the gold. It was only discovered in transit to the monestary. Nice find, especially with gold now over $800.

Grand Pearl Cruise to Bangkok

Before embarking on our river cruise back to Bangkok.

Bella could not be separated from Daddy through the entire trip. To boot she made sure Daddy always carried her on his left side. Isn't this just the best picture of the two of them?

Ayuttaya - Temple Ruins

Wat Phra Sri Sanphet - No one is sure how the buddist head came to lie in the base of the banyan tree, perhaps it was to heavy to carry when the temple was being pilfered and destroyed by the Burmese.

Here the buddist heads were severed because they were filled with gold and why does anyone fight? - land and gold.

Ayuttaya - Royal Summer Palace

Our first full day was spent on a tour to Ayuttaya, a former captial of Thailand an hour north of Bangkok. The first stop was to Bang Pa In, the summer palace for the king Rama V. The current king of Thailand, Rama IV, has ruled 60 years an occasionally uses the grounds. The palace is unique in that Rama V designed it after his travels to Europe.
