Staying warm

We found lots of ways to stay warm. I think Bella's favorite was snuggling up to Daddy and watching her Sesame Street videos. Marin was active as ever. She is working on pulling herself up to standing position and needs to be supervised everywhere.

Taikoo Drums

On Sunday afternoon we headed out to watch the Taikoo drum performance. As the drummers performed the snow was circling around and getting really heavy. The snow call was definitely working! It was especially cold and the wind was bitey. Everyone snuggled close. Before heading in, Bella & Mommy had a go with drumming.

Bella & Skiis

This is the closest Bella got to skiis much to her Mommy trying really hard. Her feet were two centimeters too small to fit into the ski boots. So she will have to wait for next year.

Niseko - Hokkaido Japan

Mt Youtei - the view from our apartment. There was a bit of sun this day but the weather changes faster than anywhere we have lived - including Colorado. Thus, the blue skies and sun were a distant memory replaced with heaps of snow and cold wind that cycled heavier to nothing the entire time we were there. There was even rain the first morning. Strange and difficult to predict. But we learned to have a great time in and watching the elements.

Snow boots

We purchased snow boots for Bella at the crocs store downtown. She loves them so much that after dancing all around the store and in front of every mirror she just had to wear them to school the next day. And despite the warmer weather in HK she keeps on wearing them. She should be all set for Japan next week.

Misc events

We made a princess hat for Bella complete with hand drawings. She tried it on in front of the mirror but wasn't too keen on wearing it around everywhere. Probably because it kept falling off her head.
Marin - so peaceful in her sleep.

At the barbershop waiting for Daddy

Bella was perched in her chair waiting patiently for Daddy to finish. Her eyes never left the stylist. She watched the entire process and wanted to help many times.
