Cupcakes

We had friends over for mexican night topped off with cupcake decorating. The kids - Lily, Olivia, Taryn, Carter, Aiden, Bella & Marin - had a great time icing their cakes and applying toppings. And - they ate almost all the cupcakes! I think they are going to be up quite late tonight. Sorry Megan and Teri!

Dragon Dance

The girls received more than their fair share of golden chocolate candies for CNY.
Mark, Jeremy & Bella waiting for the festivities to begin.
Harry, Bella, Alana & her Dad Jim all had front row places to watch.
Ah, the dragon, bestowing good luck for the new year and ridding the bad luck.
Marin wasn't so sure she liked the dragon or the man standing next to her. Bella was cute and waved goodbye and blew kisses to the Dragon as he passed by. That is as long as it wasn't kissing her.
The dragon dance helped bring in the year of the tiger - change! We wish everyone a Happy New Year!!

Making Cookies

Lara & her mom came over to help us make cookies. The flour ended up right where it needed to be - on the floor. And all of the chocolate chips were deposited safely into the kids mouths. With all the help stirring and scooping we ended up with lots of yummy cookies that the Daddies, Mommies & kids enjoyed.

Playtown

Everyone had fun at Playtown. Luckily it was open on Chinese New Year so the kids and adults could burn off a bit of restless energy. Our favorite for awhile was hanging like monkeys!

Dress Ups

It was rainy and cool for most of the visit in HK which made it a bit difficult to take the kids out. So we had a great time inside. Harry, Jeremy, Natalie, Alana, Marin & Annabella took to dressing up to entertain themselves. It was quite the fun afternoon.

Hong Kong 1

We went to Hong Kong for Chinese New Year. It was fantastic to catch up with friends. Mommy and Daddy especially enjoyed the cool air! We visited with Bella's speech therapist, Tara. Then went to Kowloon to visit Daddy's tailor. Bella danced in the mirror while Marin practiced walking up and down the steps outside the Shangri-La.

Marin & baby doll

Marin loves her baby doll in a purse. She carries it around everywhere with her. Her favorite is the baby's blanket. She smoothes it out and even lays her own head on it. It is soft and pink and definitely reminds her of "ele". Good point for us to remember in case we loose ele again.

The Girls

Golf

Bella loves to swing bats and rackets. We were at a play date the other day and she went just crazy with golf. So for a potty training present Bella received her own set. And she just loves it! We play indoors and outdoors - really anywhere it suits us.
