I just love the hats!!! We bought them from an older Vietnamese lady sitting on the side of the river. For $1 each Momma got the pictures she wanted. The girls love hats and I thought these would have the same fascination but they haven't wore them since. Maybe another time - I brought them home so we can have more fun another time.

Hoi An Beach
Vietnam - My Son

We did a bit of sight seeing at My Son in Hoi An. The girls did a great job in the heat and the long hours of Vietnam. We had fun exploring the temples in My Son. The girls found all the holes and crevasses they could crawl into or on top of. Bella was laughing all the time. Marin was busy eating and taking the hat from Bella. It is fun to see all the shared smiles.

Easter Brunch

The girls got all dolled up in their Easter dresses. Each really enjoyed putting on their shoes from Grammy & Grampy with their bonnets from Nonnie and their dresses & new bags from Mommy & Daddy. As you can see in the pictures we had a great time posing for pictures some even included our fancy sunnies.

We had a great time at brunch. The girls ate and then ran around with the other kiddos in the play room and sneaking desserts. Or was it Mommy that was sneaking dessert? We had Easter brunch with some of our friends - Lily & Olivia Hardy, Annabelle & Alex Patman, Tarryn, Carter & Aiden Bell. The kids had lots of chocolate and walked away with loads of balloons.
Egg Hunt

It was raining the whole time during the hunt - hence Marin's very cool rockin' hair do. Neither girl really seemed to care. They had a great time and Daddy did too!

Face painting was really cool. Even when we realized that it didn't really come off in the shower. Oh well, it will be cute for Easter. Marin and Bella were fascinated by the painting. Each girl held really still and then watched while the other had their face painted. Marin had so much fun showing Bella her flower that she almost forgot about her own. Of which there were two - a heart on one side and a flower on the other.
We participated in the Caring for Cambodia Egg Hunt. Each of the girls were supposed to see how many eggs they could pick up. The winner got a really big chocolate bunny. Bella had so much fun picking up the eggs and running to the next one. Marin wasn't too sure why should be picking the plastic things up. She was more interested in putting the ones that had broke in two back together.
Dying Easter Eggs
The girls had so much fun coloring their easter eggs. We only used three colors which was a fantastic idea as it was just enough to keep them busy going from one color to the other. It took a little while to convince Marin that these eggs were to be colored not cracked. So, there were of course many casualties of the morning. Bella was very good at maneuvering the wire egg holder just so. We have an Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon and we are looking forward to seeing how much fun the girls have.
