Bella was the cutest in her fireman rain coat and hat.  She was so happy to have the hat on that she gave Mommy the biggest grin.
Whoa Marin be careful you are giving Uncle Bob a fright!  But boy what a view of the dam.

The Dam just outside of Cody Wyoming marks the beginning of the "most scenic 52 miles" leading to Yellowstone.  We had a great time playing in the rain and catching the amazing rock formations and river on the way into Yellowstone.

Catch Marin

Uncle Bob worked with Marin one afternoon on catching her first football.  She picked it up real quick.  It was so cute because at first he would tell her to get ready to catch and she would raise her hands above her head.  After being shown twice where to put her hands she was in ready position to catch with both hands out front.  She caught the football several times and was so proud of herself.  We were all clapping and laughing.  She has talent!  Uncle Bob and Chandler were more than ready to cultivate that talent.

Peek a boo

Chandler had a great time entertaining the girls with a great game of peek a boo.  He would go from one side of the curtains to the other and Bella and Marin were cracking up.

Devil's Tower

Marin wanted to be Uncle Bob's rally car navigator.  She found a comfortable seat on the tissue box between the seats.  She learned quick how to navigate the GPS and the phone.  Move over Aunty Arlene our little one year old is quickly taking over your seat.

Those toes sure taste good.  Really Marin just wanted her socks removed.

Bella was singing and dancing with everyone to Hi-5

Devil's Tower out in the middle of Wyoming.  The indian women said when they needed to hide they got atop of the tower and it took them to heaven.

Mt Rushmore

Bella, Marin, Lanae & Alyssa played in the walk way as we approached Mt. Rushmore.

Isn't she so cute?  Marin was playing peekaboo with Mommy around the stroller.

We made it to see Mt. Rushmore.  The presidents carved in granite were really cool.  Bella and Marin celebrated with a big ice cream after the video on how it was created narrated by our favorite Tom Brokaw.

Custer State Park

We started the next day in Custer State Park looking for one of the two thousand bison living at large in the park.  We drove about 30 mins before we were rewarded with a wonderful site.  The bison even gave a show by holding up traffic as two males decided to have a little challenge on the two lane road.  The bison became the mascot of our trip entertaining us all along the way.  As much as Aunty Arlene wanted to pet the bison we made sure to remind her that the sign said they appear tame but will gore you.  Yikes!  And just in case you were wondering a bison can sprint at 30 mph that is three times as fast as we can run.

RV Trip

This was our home away from home for a week.  As the girls and Mommy joined the Drachslins for a fantastic road trip.

Our dinner stop an hour outside of Mt. Rushmore.  The kids were more than happy to stretch their legs and run around on the grass.

Bella learned how to blow a willow.  She was having fun practising and seeing all the pieces fly into the air.

The girls assumed their positions in the camper.

Alyssa, Chandler & Lanae were ready for the ride.

Bella and Marin's Godparents drove from Southern California.  The girls and their Mommy tagged along on the road trip from Colorado to Mt Rushmore in South Dakota to Yellowstone National Park back to Denver.  We quickly got used to the RV.  Our first destination was Mt. Rushmore which we arrived at late enough to see the president's lit up at night.  It was quite the site.  We spent the night at the Keystone campsite and toured the next day.
